Richard Ossen

Managing Partner, Co-Founder

About Richard

Richard co-founded Flex Suisse after a decade of experience working on talent solutions for legal and compliance departments of international companies (Fortune 500). With a strong belief in transparency and value-driven work, he wants to continue developing the workforce of the future.

Before Richard became an entrepreneur, he worked for PwC’s Flexible Legal Resources to innovate PwC’s legal and compliance service offering in the Swiss market. He joined PwC from Axiom, the world’s largest provider of tech-enabled legal, contracts and compliance solutions for international clients, where he headed the legal and compliance sourcing.

Richard holds a diploma in law (focus on corporate law) from the University of Cologne, a master’s degree (international project management) from ESCP Paris and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in cross-cultural business practice from the University of Fribourg. Richard is fluent in German, English and French.

Reto Picenoni

Managing Partner, Co-Founder

About Reto

Reto is a Swiss bar qualified lawyer who co-founded Flex Suisse with his experience as in-house legal counsel and as attorney-at-law. Applying his knowledge from both worlds he wants to make an impact in terms of quality, efficiency and transparent collaboration between companies and talents. Prior to Flex Suisse he held the position as Head of Solution Structuring for Credit Suisse where he continuously developed his network within the Swiss financial services sector. This managerial role allowed him to mentor legal and tax specialists while still applying his own legal knowledge on complex cases. Reto was also working at the Office of the General Counsel at KPMG.

Reto further holds a Master of Law from the University of Fribourg, an LL.M. from the University of Frankfurt am Main as well as a diploma in International Trust Management (STEP).

He is fluent in German, English, French and Italian.

Romina Suppa


About Romina

Romina has long-standing experience as a Compliance Officer in the banking industry, having worked for universal banks as well as private and retail banks.Most recently she held an executive position at a Swiss crypto bank. As a lawyer she is not only familiar with regulatory requirements but can also make use of her many years of experience in (international) criminal prosecution. The knowledge from these two sectors combined make Romina a Consultant with perspective. Her passion for politics and academia further complements her profile.

Romina holds a law degree from the University of Zurich (lic. iur), an LL.M in criminology from the University of Berne, and a degree in forensics from the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (CAS).

Romina is fluent in German, Italian, English and French.
Kurt Sager | Flex Suisse

Kurt Sager


About Kurt

Kurt has many years of experience in the banking sector, in large universal banks as well as in private and retail banks as compliance officer, business analyst and project manager. As a lawyer, he is not only familiar with the regulatory provisions, but also with the structural organization and the processes within banks. Being with one of the Big Four, Kurt audited banks in AML and checked applications for new bank approvals. As a member of various working groups (VSB, GwG, new criminal tax law) within the Swiss Bankers Association, he also actively shaped new compliance regulations.

Kurt is admitted to the bar by the Canton of Lucerne, has an Executive MBA from the University of St. Gallen (HSG) and a Diploma of Advanced Studies in Compliance (DAS) from the University of Lucerne.

Kurt speaks fluent German and English.

David Kalberer


About David

David has years of experience in management and the financial services industry, including fintech. He worked in investment and business banking as well as wealth and fund management. Last, David held the position of Managing Director of one of the major Swiss banks. During a decade serving as Swiss and international Head of Legal of a large investment company, David structured, planned, and led complex internal investigations and criminal defenses in Switzerland and other countries and developed, implemented, and enforced the groupwide Code of Conduct and Governance framework.

David holds a law degree of the University of Zurich and the University of California at Los Angeles. He is admitted to the Bar in the Canton of Schwyz and the State of New York.

David speaks fluent German, English, French, and Italian.

Christian Steinmetz


About Christian

Joining the Flex Suisse Team as a Consultant, Christian is in charge of the division talent acquisition and retention. Driven by the digitalization and new technologies, he wants to contribute to the innovation of the legal market. Beside working for Flex Suisse, he is Co-Founder and President of the SLTA Student Chapter Zurich, which raises awareness and shares knowledge about Legal Technology. Christian also co-heads the Chapter NextGen of the Swiss LegalTech Association which established a nationwide cooperation for students and young professionals involved in Legal Technology.

Before Christian joined Flex Suisse, he worked as a Legal Assistant at HÄRTING attorneys-at-law which is a renowned law firm specialized in the field of Data privacy and ICT.

Christian holds a Bachelor of Law and is currently doing his Master of Law at the University of Zurich.

Victoria De Mendieta​


About Victoria

Victoria is a Consultant at Flex Suisse dedicated to acquiring top talents and fostering engagement. Prior to joining Flex Suisse, she has been working for Deloitte as a Consultant within Tax & Legal acting as a point of contact between multinational companies, talents and Swiss authorities in the field of Immigration Law.
Moreover, Victoria has an international outlook on diplomacy, politics and law which she further expanded during her duties at the Swiss Foreign Ministry and the Rule of Law Program of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Beirut, Lebanon.

Victoria approaches her daily work with passion for innovation, integrity and a desire to learn and share knowledge with her team and clients.
As a member of the Global Shapers (World Economic Forum), a network of young people driving dialogue, action and change, Victoria is committed to tackle current social and economic challenges. She was curator of the Bern Hub in 2020-21.

Victoria holds a Bachelor and Master degree in law from the University of Zurich, and she is fluent in German, Spanish, English and French.

Sebastian Rümmelein


About Sebastian

Sebastian joins Flex Suisse as a Consultant in the talent acquisition and operations division. He is passionate about the disruption of the legal market and wants to be a part of this development.
Through his work experience in a US-based tech company and a LegalTech start-up, Sebastian has acquired an efficient, fast and solution-oriented way of working.

Just like Christian, he is part of the SLTA Student Chapter Zurich, which raises awareness and shares knowledge about Legal Technology.

Sebastian holds a Bachelor degree in law from the University of Zurich and is currently doing his Master of Law at the University of Zurich. He spent a semester at Bocconi University in Milan.
He is fluent in German and English.

Natascha Ellett


About Natascha

Natascha is a Consultant in the talent acquisition and operations division at Flex Suisse. Before joining the company, she worked as a legal assistant for Eversheds Sutherland, a renowned international business law firm.
She also gained experience in the banking sector, working in the legal and tax department of UBS as a specialist in the field of automatic exchange of Information. In addition, she has customer facing experience in the retail sector.

Natascha loves working in a fast-paced international environment where she can interact with new people every day and provide them with innovative solutions.

Natascha holds a Bachelor of Law from the University of Zurich and a Master of Law from the University of London. She is fluent in English and German.

Frédéric Aebischer


About Frédéric

Frédéric is a business student and joins Flex Suisse as a Researcher to support strategic resourcing and talent acquisition. He is motivated to work on the development of a dynamic labor market and to drive the innovative way forward. Based on his previous experience, he is familiar with the needs in the legal and compliance area.

He has prior experience in the financial sector from working on a temporary assignment with a compliance consulting company and from his commercial apprenticeship with a major Swiss bank. He is familiar with the main regulations in the legal and compliance field.

Frédéric holds a Swiss Certificate of Competence for Businessmen and is currently pursuing his Bachelor in business management and economics at the University of Fribourg.
